This ivory hige-tsumugi Nagoya obi
has a tasteful 'wasabi' (Japanese horse radish) and eggplant motif, which is dyed.
Textile is a kind of silk fabric called 'hige-tsumugi' - weft yarns come out like 'hige'(beard).
It's soft and has grainy touch.
There is a name of the dyer bottom of otaiko.
It has couple of flaws such as slight patinas, but they are not disturbing for wearing.
Please check detail photos.
