This Nagoya obi
has colorful 'seigaiha' (wave) pattern, which is woven.
Gold foil threads are woven in places, and they show elegant atmosphere.
Textile is exquisite silk, and it has soft touch.
Along the tare end, there are three golden lines and a gunpai-mark (referee's fan), which are distinct features of textile woven by Kawashima Weaving Co, one of the most famous obi weavers in Kyoto.
Kawashima name is also woven.
This piece are sewn to show its marks. (refer the 1st and 8th photos of whole angle)
It has slight stains, and patinas can be seen in places.
However, they don't bother you to tie.
It has some other flaws such as smudges.
