This is a winsome vintage Nagoya obi
with tsuchiguruma'( watermill with mallets) pattern, which is colorfully embroidered in the vivid colored background.
Textile is soft rinzu silk with damask effect of 'sayagata'(arranged swastika) pattern, and has soft glossy touch.
Soft stiffener is attached inside.
Only one side of the narrow belt part has maegara (front pattern) embroidery.
Some of the kaikiri lines(end mark line) are coming loose.
Embroidery threads are slightly discolored as well.

Because of its old age, it has some flaws as the photo shown but it is a charming piece to enjoy by coordinating with your vintage kimono.
