This is an enchanting vintage Nagoya obi
with red dove and 'kusudama'(flowers ball) pattern, which is delicately embroidered in its shiny soft pink background. Please take a look closely at its embroidery work!
Textile is shusu and has soft smooth touch.
It is made of silk and jinken (rayon) blend.
Soft stiffer is attached inside.
Maegara (front patterned part) is in one side.
Frays can be seen on tare corners. It has small stains around 'otaiko'(square bow) area as well. It also has some flaws including patinas. For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It surely has flaws as described as above but it's a charming obi. Please enjoy its old fashion taste by coordinating with your favorite vintage kimono.
