This brownish Sioze Nagoya obi
has exotic animal pattern dyed with batik technique.
In addition to the horses and a llama(?) in the otaiko (square bow) area, a duck also can be seen on the narrow belt part.
The crack lines of batik give a unique look to this item.
Textile is sioze silk, and it has soft and smooth touch.
There are small snags where warps are cut in the otaiko (square bow) area.
The otaiko has a mild stain about the center as well.
The tare end corners are frayed, and one side of the maegara (front pattern) area has a noticeable stain (A).
Near the tesaki end is a discolored line, both of whose end have a hole patched from inside.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Overall, it's still in very good condition and will be useful for casual, daily wear.
