This is a tasteful vintage Maru obi
divided into sharp jagged green-purple halves.
The green half is striped and has traditional motifs of such as paper fan and 'matsukawa-bishi'(pine bark diamond).
The purple half is checkerboard patterned with various traditional patterns in the squares.
The design is all woven.
Textile is silk, and it's soft.
There is a noticeable dark stain about the maegara (front pattern) area.
Also, the side seam is unpicked and opened about 7.9in (20cm) along the maegara area.
It has some other flaws as well including frays at the end corners.
