This is a fantastic antique uchikake from around Meiji period (1868-1912).
Majestic white phoenix, lovely kiku (chrysanthemums) in different forms and kiri(paulownia) flowers are delicately dyed in subtly shading hues.
Clouds filled with various traditional patterns such as 'sayagata' (linked reverse swastika) and 'shippou-tsunagi' (interlocking circles) add a classical look.
Fine embroidery is added onto a few parts.
Textile is smooth sioze silk.
The bottom hem is thickly padded.
There are noticeable stains on the right chest and the back (D, F).
Also, some stains, even small, can be spotted on light colored places.
