This is a vintage summer Nagoya obi
with brilliant embroidery work of waterside scenery.
In the pattern, soothing waterfall and river can be seen among the colorful flowers and trees.
Textile is transparent sha silk woven with twisted silver foil threads which give delicate gleam to its background.
The embroidery is only on one side of the narrow belt part.
Light discoloration can be seen over the pale pink base.
Also, metallic coating of the embroidery yarns is partially chipped off in the otaiko (square bow) area.
The maegara (front pattern) area has yellowish lines (A).
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Overall, it's still in very good condition.
It's perfect piece to enjoy classical summer kimono styles.
