This is a kimono fabric cut into
irotomesode shape and stitched roughly before sewing to make irotomesode.
Kimono is made of a bolt of cloth which is 14.2" in width.
This piece has 'matsu' (pine tree) pattern, which is embroidered with golden threads.
Neat and gorgeous embroidered with thin threads add luxuriousness and third dimension.
Textile is soft rinzu silk with damask effect of 'sayagata' (arranged swastika) pattern.
Discoloration can be seen here and there as the figure shows.
Though not indicated, the seams of underarm is rather prominent.
Please refer the photos and sheet for other flaws and details.
Still it can be an excellent handicraft material.
*You need a lining fabric to sew
irotomesode from this fabric.
And sewing
irotomesode is very difficult, and it is a work for professionals.
