This is a vintage maru obi with Japanese book and folding fan shape pattern, which is woven.
Classical patterns are woven in each fan shape.
Textile is silk, and it has soft and smooth touch.
Corners of Tare end are frayed.
Patinas and discoloration can be seen on background color, and they are prominent.
