This is an elegant omeshi houmongi in rich brick orange.
Folding fan pattern is woven in its textile.
Over the pattern, kanoko dotted 'kusudama'(flowers balls) are dyed with
shibori (tie-dye) technique.
The ribbons adorning the flowers gracefully spread down across the panels.
Its kamon (family crest) on the nape is also made up of
shibori dots.
Textile is silk and has soft touch.
Its basting stitches remain, and there is no serious flaw on this item.
Its lining is discolored, but it's not at all prominent.
The lining might have been renewed.
Also, there are whitish stains on the left front (A) and tiny blackish stains on the left sleeve (sorry they are not indicated in the figures).
All the stains doesn't stand out much.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Overall, it's still in very good condition.
Please enjoy Japanese classical styles with this kimono.
