This is such a lovely susohiki dyed in soft lavender.
Susohiki lieterally means `trail the skirt' and this particular kimono is much longer than other kimono.
This is worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room.
This particular piece has a charming and classical 'hana-gasa' (flower umbrella) pattern dyed.
Each of the umbrellas are adorned with flowers or leaves such as sakura (cherry blossoms) and maple leaves.
Also,
takara (treasure) items are scattered about them.
Textile is silk and has soft touch.
Silk hiyoku is added.
The bottom hems are padded.
This piece was owned by a Geisha in Kyoto.
The collar has faint wear.
The lavender base looks rather discolored, and it's especially noticeable along the side seams and the shoulder folds.
However, it's still in very good condition overall.
This will look fantastic either on stage or display.
