This authentic Kumjima tsumugi kimono has exotic kasuri pattern - sparrow and geometric motifs are woven with weft ikat technique.
This piece is made in Kume Island, and named Kumejima Tsumugi. It is one of the most valuable tsumugi kimonos.
Textile has very soft and comfortable touch.
There is guaranteed seal of Kumejima Tsumugi.
Basting stitches remain, and it seems not to be worn, but there are a couple of stains as described on photos. However, it is nearly in excellent condition.
