This is a sophisticated
fukuro obi with steam and cloud pattern, which is dyed gorgeously in the sedate color of shiny light slate-gray background. The 'Raden'(design in mother-of-pearl inlay) is used for the flower, which scattered over it sparkle as if reflecting sunlight in fresh air.
This piece is dyed in Nishijin, Kyoto by Tanaka.
Lots of gold threads are used, and this piece has exceptionally gorgeous atmosphere.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has soft glossy touch.
Both ends are not sewn and stiff lining is not added ( it is not completed as fukuro obi).
It has a rather large stain in plain part, but not disturbing when it is tied. For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
This will be a great piece to enjoy coordinating with your kimono classically and elegantly!
