This is an elegant
nagoya obi with alluring flower pattern, which is dyed in the sedate color of ivory background. Its beautiful monotone of the monochrome drawing is fabulous! The flower is embroidered elegantly.
There is an elaborate stamp of the dyer.
Textile is silk and has soft smooth touch.
As the sheet shows, it has some flaws such as small stain, patina, and folding lines. The reddish stain can be seen on 'otaiko'(square bow) and on the narrow belt part. The stain (A) on the narrow belt part is a rather small and not disturbing. Please refer the photos and sheet for other flaws and details.
Although it has a bit of feeling of use, it is in very good condition and can be tied to enjoy its exquisite design.
It's a great chance to have such a beautiful example of Japanese dyeing technique!
