This is an enchanting nagoya obi with serene pine tree and 'katawaguruma'( wheels of royal cart, which are stored in the stream to avoid drying ) pattern, which is carefully embroidered.
Textile is jinken(rayon) and has soft touch.
Purple shushu is added on the other side.
Belt part is jointed in two parts( dashed lines in the figure.)
Background color is discolored and has some patinas at the photos show.
It is well worn, but its pattern and atmosphere is intriguing. We hope you can find an antique kimono to match this lovely obi.
