This is an enchanting vintage maru obi.
Exotic phoenix and ornate Torikabuto (costume helmet for Gagaku) are colorfully woven.
Textile is silk, and it's soft.
The pattern is set upside down, and it's supposed to be tied in a special way called 'hikinuki'.
Discoloration and patinas are rather spread, and they seem a little prominent along the side edges.
There are other flaws including a folding line.
