This is a chic asa kimono with classical 'shippou-tsunagi' (interlocking circles) pattern woven with double ikat technique.
This piece is Miyako Jofu, which is hand woven with hand plied ramie yarns, and its yarns are dyed with Ryuku ai.
It has light and a little crisp touch.
Lapel is bachi-eri(folded lapel).
This piece is hitoe (not lined), but a cotton shoulder lining is attached.
As shown in photo (A) , there are frayed dots in line on the right sleeve.
Such one can be see in other places, too.
There is a repaired hole in the sleeve (C) and there are some snags in the shoulder part (D) .
