This is a vintage
nagoya obi with classical motifs such as Hakoseko(small box) and books patterns, which are dyed.
On its pattern, it has various appealing designs - crown, 'shou-chiku-bai'(auspicious three motifs - pine tree, bamboo and ume blossom), peacock 'botan' (peony) are dyed on the vibrant pink background.
Textile is 'hiraginu' (plain silk) and has soft and smooth touch.
It has worn-out feeling overall.
The stain can be seen on the middle of 'otaiko'(square bow) area, which will be visible when it's tied.
It also has some flaws such as stains, small holes, and smudges. Please refer the photos and sheet for other flaws and details.
Because of its old age, it surely has flaws but it can still make a lovey coordinate as long as on a vintage kimono.
