This is a tasteful vintage sakiori obi.

Sakiori is a traditional Japanese technique of rag weaving.
Rag strips are cut finely and woven into a tweed-like fabric.

This piece is made of yarns and rag stripes -
main white parts are woven with cotton yarns, and colored lined are woven with sakiori.

It has relatively firm touch.

The ivory base have patinas for its old age.
