This is a tasteful vintage sakiori obi.

Sakiori is a traditional Japanese technique of rag weaving.
The rag strips are cut finely and woven into a tweed-like fabric.

The main material of this particular piece seems to be cotton, but jinken (rayon) must be blended.
It has relatively firm touch.

It has modern stripe pattern woven.
Its coloring is so tasteful and rarely seen on textiles made with other patterning techniques.

As the photos and the sheet show, there are some flaws for its old age.
However, it's still in very good condition overall.
