This
nagoya obi has elegant garden scenery pattern, which is woven with exquisite
tsume tsuzure technique.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
It has special kind of comfortable and stiff touch of
tsume tsuzure silk.
As the photos and figure show, it has a prominent folding line. There are prominent stains and discoloration above the otaiko part (B) (C) .
Maegara(front patterned part) part also has prominent stains (C) .
It has some other flaws as photos and figure show.
We can't say it is in very good condition, but it must be an excellent handicraft material or interior decor!
