This is a beautiful wine red opened nagoya obi.
It has beautiful and luxurious mokko-mon and silver and gold checkerboard pattern, which is woven with exquisite
tsume tsuzure technique.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
It has special kind of comfortable and medium touch of
tsume tsuzure silk.
As the photos and figure show, it has rather prominent folding lines and the rather slight patinas in the otaiko and 'maegara'(front patterned part).
Also, there are smudges in the maegara, but they are not so disturbing.
However, as a whole, it is in very good condition and it can be tied at formal occasions!
