This is a high-end elegant silver
nagoya obi with impressive gold cloud pattern , which is woven with
tsume tsuzure technique.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
Textile is exquisite silk and has stiff and textured touch.
As the photos and figure show, it has rather slight patinas in places. (A)
Also, there are remarkable folding lines and rather slight discolorations.
Besides, it has the stains in the maegara, but they are not so disturbing.
It can not be tied on contemporary kimono at formal occasions, but we think it can be tied on antique kimonos.
