This exquisite nagoya obi is woven amazingly with tsume tsuzure technique.
This piece has cool characters 'Getsu(Moon)' for otaiko and and 'Hikari(Light)' for maegara(front patterned part) part.
What a cool design it is!
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed. It has special kind of comfortable and stiff touch of tsume tsuzure silk.
It has a prominent folding line, but as a whole it is in very good condition and can be worn also at formal occasions.
