This is exquisite fukuro obi with grape arabesque pattern which is woven in elegant colored of whitish gold background.
Approx 60% of the both sides are patterned.
Gold threads are woven in weft yarn on the background which is exquisite glitter.
Textile is exquisite silk and, has soft and comfortable touch.
It has strong folding lines and prominent patinas on blank area as photo (A) shown. It also has some patinas on maegara (front patterned part) slightly. Please refer the photos and sheet for other flaws and details.
It might not be suitable for formal occasions because of the prominent flaws, but it will be perfect for kimono dressing practice to enjoy its elegant design or could be great piece for your handicraft material.
