This is an alluring nagoya obi with elegant 'karabana'( imaginary Chinese flower) and 'karakusa'(arabesque) pattern, which are woven with urushi coated threads on the black background.

Textile is exquisite silk and has soft smooth touch.

It has a rather prominent folding line, and there are frays on urushi coated threads at places ( we wrote it as 'smudge' in the figure), and it is prominent around the maegara(front patterned part) part.
