This is a black vintage
nagoya obi with sunflower pattern which is finely embroidered.
Textile is shusu, and has soft and smooth touch. It seems to be silk, but jinken(rayon) may blended.
The impressive embroidery work on maegara (front patterned part) is in one side.
There are frayed lines in the side part of otaiko. It is joined in the tesaki part (A) .
As the photo (D) shows, the embroidery thread on the 'otaiko'(square bow) are coming loose.
Due to its old age, it has some flaws such as slight stains, snags, and folding lines. Please refer the photos and sheet for details.
As a whole, it is in good condition and it will be very great piece to enjoy coordinate with your vintage kimono!
