This is a
tsumugi nagoya obi with fishing pattern, which is woven on the color of ivory background.
To tell the truth, we are not exactly sure...is this really fishing motif? The hopper is too short, the fishing line is also too short, and most of all the fish does not look like fish...?
However, we are sure this piece is an eye-catching
tsumugi nagoya obi!
Textile is woven with
tsumugi yarn, and has soft touch.
As the figure shows, it has some flaws such as folding lines and stains. It might has a little worn-put feel but still great piece for daily use. Please refer the photos and sheet for details.
The fishes are woven on both side of maegara (front patterned part).
