This is a black
nagoya obi with cute 'karako'(Chinese child) warrior motif, which is dyed.
At a glance, we don't get what this design means, but later, we understand what it means.
It is from folk tale -
The Crab and the Monkey - you can find crab, chestnut, usu and monkey! Monkey is little bit difficult because it is designed as
Sarubobo.
Textile is summer ro and it has comfortable touch.
The patinas in one side of 'maegara'(front patterned part)are rather prominent.
However, the patinas in the tare and otaiko parts are not so disturbing.
Stains are slight.
Please check detail photos.
As a whole, it is in very good condition and it can be tied!
