This is a vintage summer kurotomesode, most formal kimono for married women.
This piece is made of ro, summer sheer silk and hitoe (not lined).

Its symmetrical pattern has paper fan and lovely flowers such as clematis and dianthus sedately dyed.
Its design of seigaiha (wave) and autumnal flowers make you feel cool air.
Lapel is bachi-eri(folded lapel).
The sleeves are gracefully long, which is the feature of kimonos from pre WWII.

Its black base is faded with age (D).
Patinas can be seen on the patterned areas, which makes the areas look somewhat discolored.
Also, the wear on the collar is noticeable, and there are faint stains on the left sleeve.

It sure has some worn-out feel from its old age.
However, this piece must still be enjoyable full of Japanese vintage elegance!
