This is a majestic vintage Furisode in rich maroon brown.
Its dyed symmetrical pattern of peonies surrounded with kiku (chrysanthemums) and peonies is so beautiful and has elegant mood which can rarely be seen among the recent pieces.
Textile is a kind of chirimen (crepe) silk and has very soft touch.
This piece seems to have been retailored after WWII so it has hiro-eri (wide lapel).
Because of its old age, it has some flaws.
Patinas and stains can be seen on the pale colored places.
Also, the back has prominent discoloration (check the fifth back image).
The sleeve backs also has slight discoloration about the same heights.
However, it's still in very good condition overall and even wearable as long as matched with vintage obi.
