This is a kimono fabric cut into houmongi shape and stitched roughly before sewing to make houmongi .
Kimono is made of a bolt of cloth which is 14.2" in width.

Charming kiku (chrysanthemum) flowers and maple leaves are colorfully dyed on its cream background.
Textile is silk and has soft touch.

As the photos and the sheet show, patinas and prominent discoloration can be seen.
Still it can be an excellent handicraft material.

*You need a lining fabric to sew Houmongi from this fabric.
And sewing Houmongi is very difficult, and it is a work for professionals.
