Joint Project with Iuchi Shoten * Reprint Reversible Kyo-Fukuro Obi
This is a brand new kyo-fukuro(shorter than usual fukuro obi) obi, which is made by Iushi Shoten san, who is very famous for his unique and casual kimonos and has lots of fans.
He, the representative Iuchi san is good at using PC and ink jet printers, and for this project, he bought the latest ink jet printer, and tried to reprint the antique kimonos on polyester, as precisely as possible.
And we found that new machine and his skill make it possible to make incredibly beautiful reprint of antique kimonos!
The design of this particular piece is both charming and sophisticated!
The girly tulip pattern is dyed all through the right side.
The backside has elegant fluttering butterflies and traditional net pattern.
The combinations of 'modern & retro' and 'Western taste & Japanese taste' are indeed characteristic of Japanese vintage design!
The backside pattern is dyed on this piece, but the original one was embroidered.
With the foremost print technique used, you can see each of the embroidery yarns even via the photos!
It's all made of soft and static-free polyester.
The treatment of the original one is difficult, but this one is easy to be cared!
