This is a chic and modern contemporary Oshima tsumugi kimono.
On its dark toned background which reminds us the deep sea, charming?? fish and shells are neatly embroidered,
Its distorted checkerboard pattern is expressed with tiny 'T' shapes elaborately woven with double ikat technique.
Textlie is silk and has soft and smooth touch typical of Oshima tsumugi textile.
There's a remnant scrap of the fabric with the guarantee seals pasted on it.

The stain in photo A is small and hardly outstanding.
The other flaws are just small snags lined up near the left armhole on the back.( They may be the uneven spots of weaving, but anyway, it is not disturbing.)
Basting stitches remain, and as a whole, it's in very good condition.
