This is an antique cotton yutan, cover for small tansu.
It is from early Meiji Period(1868-1912) or earlier, and its fabric is hand spun and hand woven elaborately. Textile is thick and has soft and comfortable touch.
Three kamon are dyed out white with katazome technique. Three of four side panel have kamon pattern.
The seams are coming loose, and it has some flaws as photos and figure show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
