This is a vintage kimono with appealing design - 'kaioke' (a hexagonal container to store clam shells, which are used ancient shell matching game - 'kaiawase'), flowers basket and cord pattern, which is dyed in the red background.
Textile is soft rinzu silk with damask effect of lotus leaves.
The sleeves are gracefully long, which is the feature of kimonos from pre WWII.
Lapel is hiro-eri (wide lapel).
Hakkake part is made of other kimono fabrics.
It has some flaws as photos show. The sleeves were shorter than now, and there are smudges along the sewing lines.
There are many flaws, but they are not so disturbing. As a whole it is in very good condition.
We think it can be worn.
