This is a fabulous susohiki kimono from pre WWII.
Susohiki literally means `trail the skirt' and this particular kimono is much longer than other kimono. This is worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room.
This piece has fantastic chayatsui pattern, which is dyed colorfully. Many parts are added fine embroidery.
It has exceptionally elegant touch.
It had to be worn by a very rich geisha.
Textile is silk with damask effect(rinzu), and has soft and smooth touch.
It has rather prominent stains in the right lapel and left sleeve (C,F), and there are stains in the white parts of left front(F).
It has some other flaws as photos and figure show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
