This obi has wonderful snow crystal pattern, which is woven with tsume tsuzure weaving technique.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed. It has special kind of comfortable and medium touch of tsume tsuzure silk.

Unfortunately it is well worn and has many flaws such as the prominent folding line, large stains, smudges and frays.
The slight discoloration on the ivory base should also be noted.
It's not in wearable condition but still could be a marvelous display or handicraft material, although the stains are also in the wrong side, and only limited parts can be used.
