This is a stylish
fukuro obi woven with
tsume tsuzure weaving technique.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed. Textile has a special kind of comfortable and stiff touch of
tsume tsuzure weaving.
Charming clematis flowers and a silvery stream are stylishly woven.
This piece is uniquely tailored with the half toward the tare end two-layered and the other half kept one-layered.
This piece must have been well worn for there are wrinkles and a folding line left.
Also, it has a remarkable whitish stain, though it would be hidden when worn.
Patinas can be seen on the white places of the pattern.
