This is a sakiori hanhaba obi. Sakiori is a traditional Japanese technique of rag weaving.The rag strips are cut finely and woven into a tweed-like fabric.
This piece has exceptionally beautiful stripe pattern.
It has some snags.
However, it is not disturbing.
As a whole it is in very good condition and beautiful piece.
