This is a chic Nagoya obi
woven with Tsume tsuzure
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
It has special kind of comfortable and stiff touch of Tsume tsuzure
This one has an elegant woven pattern of kiku (chrysanthemums) and a Takara
assortment in flowing clouds.
Woven at the very center of the otaiko (square bow) pattern is a Japanese word "UTSUKUSHII" whose meaning is just "BEAUTIFUL"!
The snags in the figure are hardly outstanding.
There is a very slight folding line.
As a whole, it's in very good condition and can be worn on formal occasions.
