This is a magnificent geisha's susohiki with eye-catching design - ume blossom tree is dyed boldly with stream and bamboo motif.
Some parts are added embroidery, and lots of gold dyestuff are used, and this piece has exceptionally gorgeous atmosphere.

It is from pre WWII, and worn by a geisha. The is a kamon of okiya(geisha house).

Susohiki literally means `trail the skirt' and this particular kimono is much longer than other kimono. This is worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room.

Textile is silk and has soft touch.

Its black color is discolored, and it is prominent near the lower designed part. Designed part also has discoloration and stains as photos show.

However, as a whole it is still in very good condition, and we think it can be worn.
