This is a vintage chuya obi with charming design - 'hagi'(bush clover) motif is dyed with shibori technique and embroidery is added at places.
What a sophisticated design it is!
In the maegara(front patterned part) part, one side is fully embroidery includes shibori like dot pattern.
Textile is ro, summer sheer silk.
White parts has slight discoloration, and there is a slight folding line and slight stains. The embroidery seam is coming off in the tare end.

Another side is made of 'monsha'( transparent silk with woven pattern), and balloon flower motif is dyed and embroidered. However, there are many patinas and some prominent stains, and this side can not be tied.
