This cute opened nagoya obi is woven with tsume tsuzure technique.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
It has special kind of comfortable and rather stiff touch of tsume tsuzure silk.

This pretty soft pink obi has charming mandarin duck pattern whose silver and golden parts are woven with metallic coated threads.

Unfortunately, it seems difficult to wear this piece with noticeable patinas spread over age. Especially in the maegara(front patterned part) part, stains and patinas are prominent.
