Joint Project with Iuchi Shoten * Antique Kimono Reprint Houmogi - BLACK



This is a brand new houmongi, which is made by Iuchi Shoten san, who is very famous for his unique and casual kimonos and has lots of fans. He, the representative Iuchi san is good at using PC and ink jet printers, and for this project, he bought the latest ink jet printer, and tried to reprint the antique kimonos on polyester, as precisely as possible. And we found that new machine and his skill make it possible to make incredibly beautiful reprint of antique kimonos!

This houmongi is the first product of this project. The original one is our kimono, which is from around Taisho Period(1912-1926) . ( We are sorry we have not listed it on our site yet, and we are thinking to keep it for the sample.)
It has fabulous butterfly design, which is dyed with yuzen technique vividly on the yellow background.

Reprint product has precisely same delicate colors and design!
The original Taisho kimono is very valuable (and expensive) and must be cared. However, this reprinted one can be worn easily! And of course, the price is also very moderate. In addition, we can make various size kimonos freely.

Original color is yellow, and this is the piece which we change the background color to the black.
(The price is little bit different for its colors.)
