This is a silk karinui fabric for michiyuki. ( Roughly sewn as michiyuki shape).
Pretty long tail birds and 'hana karakusa' (flower arabesque) are woven in the elegant 'sayagata' (arranged swastika) patterned background.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has some flaws as photos and figure show.
However, it must be an excellent handicraft material!
*You need a lining fabric to sew michiyuki from this fabric. And sewing michiyuki is very difficult, and it is a work for professionals.
