This silver
fukuro obi has a beautiful woven pattern of fan shapes and 'tanzaku'(strips of paper).
The fans and tanzaku are covered with various pictures of Heian noble people, birds such as egrets, 'kaioke' (a hexagonal container to store clam shells, which are used ancient shell matching game - 'kaiawase' ) and leaves and flowers.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has soft touch.
As the photos and the sheet show, small loops are sticking out along the side edges.
Also, snags can be seen over the surface including about the otaiko (square bow) area.
Sorry it's not indicated but there is a faint greenish stain in the blank area, though it will be hidden when tied.
All the flaws including the folding line are not outstanding.
As a whole, it's in very good condition.
