This is a vintage black chuya obi with unique gosho doll motif which is painted (the technique is called 'pente')
Textile is black shusu silk. It is soft and has smooth touch.
The other side has charming pattern which is dyed with shibori(tie dyed) technique.

It has some flaws from its old age however as a vintage piece, it is in very good condition and has enough strength to be tied too.
