This is a vintage shusu
nagoya obi with exquisite mallet and sakura pattern, which is embroidered elaborately with colorful threads. Mallet is traced with gorgeous kinokoma embroidery!!
Front pattern is on only one side.
Textile is shusu silk, and it has soft and smooth touch.
It has somewhat prominent stains on Otaiko pattern area. (A) There are other prominent stains (B) at where narrow part connects the wide. It also has wide spread light stain on narrow part near Tesaski end.
Kinkoma embroidery in the maegara(front patterned part) part is coming off.(D)
Because of its light background color and its age, patinas and discoloration tend to stand out, however, it is a tasteful piece for its wonderful antique atmosphere!
